African Fire Skink - Riopa fernandi

We currently have Fire Skinks for sale that are field collected. Snakes at Sunset has them setup in a tropical setup, with a daily misting. The Fire Skinkss for sale are aprox 6-10" in length.

All our reptiles come with a Live Arrival Guarantee. 

Shipping your new African Fire Skink:

We ship our skinks FED EX overnight. Most packages arrive by 10:30am. If you live in a smaller town, or in a rural area it may arrive between 12-4pm.

We also offer HOLD FOR PICKUP at your closest FedEx center, so you can pick the package up after work/school.
Our shipping days are Monday- Thursday. Reptile orders placed before 2pm usually get shipped the same day .
 Reptile orders placed after 2pm, get shipped the following day.
Ex: If you place your order at 5pm Monday, we will ship tuesday, and you will receive Wed. Morning.
You may request an alternate shipping day. Please email us at albinoturtles@comcast.net to let us know what day works for you.

SOMEONE MUST BE PRESENT TO SIGN FOR THE PACKAGE or our Live arrival guarantee is VOID.

We pack your reptiles in the safest, most efficient way possible. All reptile orders are shipped in a styro-foam lined cardboard box used specifically for shipping reptiles.  Depending on weather conditions, we may include an ice pack or heat pack at no charge for the safety of the animals.
If weather conditions are too severe to ship, we will notify you and arrange a future shipping date. This is all done for the safety of the animal! 

The health and safety of the animal comes first!

    Very Happy.

    Given the description online it looks like the amount of toes, as well as whether or not it has a tail will vary. I however got a very beefy and healthy boy with all his toes and a tail that looks to be full. Even if he had some damage though I'd still recommend especially for the price.

    So Impressed!

    LOVED the experience I had with Snakes at Sunset. My guy came in healthy and happy. He was easy to handle, and I’d have never known he was wild caught. Not to mention, he’s gorgeous and obviously well cared for. I’ll be ordering again soon!

    Best lizard!

    I am so amazed with how healthy and well socialized my lizard was. She let me pick her up and hold her and she’s not skiddish be what so ever. I bought a fire skink from a pet store and it runs and will not let me pick it up without it biting. So the difference is outstanding. I will be ordering from here from now on! Thank you snakes at sunset!

    What a CHUNGUS

    What a beefy lad they sent me! Hes was perfect except for missing all of his toes but I attribute that to him being wildcaught.

    Fire Skink

    She is super healthy and came in super healthy. I’ve had her for almost a year now! I have already referred a couple friends to this site.

    Came in healthy

    I ordered a fire skink from underground ground reptiles and received it dead, I am super glad this place sells healthy animals!!

    African fire skink

    I was a bit nervous about buying this animal since it was wild caught, I know WC’s can be unhealthy and severely stressed. Well they must have some kind of decent quarantine or rest period because this animal I purchased was very healthy, robust and alert, the skunk arrived in a good package with care taken for its particular high humidity needs. She fed the first day and snakes at sunset communicated promptly and efficiently about shipping the package arrived exactly when it was supposed to. Thumbs up on these guys I will definitely be buying from you again!

    Came in very nice condition

    Beautiful lil guys. Came in very active and in great condition. Arrived very quickly and packing was excellent. Don't miss out on these adorable little friendly guys. Will for sure be purchasing from here again!

    Beautiful and Healthy

    Received very quickly, which was awesome. Tried to order a fire skink from a different website at first, it not only took the other website almost 3 days to arrive even though I paid extra for overnight shipping, but the skink was dead upon arrival due to there not being any way for it to breath and the container it was shipped in was cruel. There wasn't even a sticker on the side that said fragile or perishable or anything! However, from Snakes at Sunset, it arrived within less than 24 hours and was in a much more humane containment. The skink was alive and healthy and very active/attentive. Would definitely recommend for anyone looking to purchase.
