I ordered two Red foot tortoises. They arrived well packaged. They were alert instantly and were eating the first day. Couldn't be happier.

I ordered my little guy Tuesday night and received him the next day by noon. The packaging was great. Smaller box with thick lined styrofoam triple wrapped in news paper was the little bowl he was in and in the bowl was a cloth soaked in water for him to stay moist. I got him out he opened his tiny eyes and looked at me lol. He was the size described 3 inches. Set his habitat up 2 hides a lid flipped ove and partially pushed into the substrate for water and a food dish designed for torts. He's been drinking and eating well. Burrowing like little torts do. He wasn't pyramidal at all when I got him so you can tell he's been hydrated properly. He loves his habitat he is very active. I would recommend buying from SaS but I would also recommend SaS list the sex of all they're live reptiles/amphibians and such. Mine wasn't listed but from what I can see he is a male, will know for sure as he grows.he is my 3rd addition to my 2 juvenile red foots. Ones a cherry headed red foot. Pascal and rapunzel and now maximus

I ordered a baby redfoot tortoise and I have to admit I fell in love with it as soon as I opened the box. He/she is the cutest little thing. The packaging was perfect for the tortoise and he/she arrived earlier than expected. I would definitely recommend Snakes at Sunset to anyone that is in search of a reptile.

I picked up our baby red footed tortoise from FedEx on a Tuesday morning and by Wednesday night, after offering food multiple times, he still hadn’t eaten anything and spent all day hiding in the corners of his enclosure. I messaged Snakes at Sunset to ask how long is too long without eating. I received a very fast response. After making sure I was offering appropriate foods I sent over a picture of my enclosure. Turns out it was way too big and dry for our little baby. We put him in a smaller enclosure with better substrate and he instantly started eating and scooting around his new home! You can tell they truly care about their animals and about educating owners to ensure they are well cared for! Really awesome service! We couldn’t be happier! And Tobi the tortoise is now living his best life! I would definitely recommend Snakes at Sunset to anyone looking for a new pet!

So I’ve never ordered a reptile from a big seller such as SaS, so I was worried. Especially with the negative reviews they have. But let me say that I am ecstatic with their customer service as well as the tortoise! They were quick to answer my many questions and very helpful when it came to order difficulties. My tortoise as well is wide eyed and active, eating and drinking right away! I would definitely recommend the red foot tortoise from SaS to anyone.
