We ship our Mexican Black King Snake for sale (Lampropeltis getula)s via FedEx Priority Overnight directly to your door whenever it is safe to do so. If weather conditions, transit conditions, or temperatures make home delivery less safe for the animal, we may recommend or require Hold for Pickup service at your nearest FedEx Ship Center. This allows your animal to be picked up promptly in a climate-controlled facility rather than remaining on a delivery vehicle.

Our shipping days are Monday through Wednesday. Reptile orders placed before 2:00 PM (EST) are often shipped the same day; however, shipping may be delayed due to weather, order volume, or other circumstances. We will contact you before shipping to confirm the shipping date and the safest delivery method for your animal.
You may also request an alternate shipping day. Simply send us a message through your account with any special shipping requests.

Nighttime low temperatures below 50°F or daytime high temperatures above 85°F may require Hold for Pickup service at your nearest FedEx Ship Center to help ensure the safety of your animal during transit.

All reptile orders are shipped in federally approved, insulated Styrofoam-lined cardboard shipping boxes designed specifically for transporting live reptiles. Depending on weather conditions, we may include a heat pack or cold pack at no additional charge to help ensure the animal's safety during transit.

    Perfect little boy

    He arrived safely and in good timing. He didn't seem cold or in shock, he actually started exploring the tub I put him in while taking him home from the delivery location. Very sociable. I was able to hold him and he did explore my hand for a bit. I'm very thankful that Snakes at Sunset marked when his last meal was and what he's eating, very helpful for a new snake keeper like myself. He has a long beautiful tail, so I'm hoping that he is indeed a He.

    Mexican Black Kingsnake

    The snake was fully alive. The package had when the snake last ate and what kind of food it was eating. The snake is feisty but I’ll let him settle in before trying to handle him.

    Feisty Baby

    The delivery was prompt and my MBK is feisty with a good feeding response. One issue I did have was that the card did not state when my snake was last fed, but I know MBK are great feeders so I wasn't too concerned.

    Mexican black kingsnake

    Little fella arrived on time and in perfect health, took a ft pinkie the same day with no issues. Packaging was excellent. Will definitely buy my next snake from here once they get the ones I want in stock.
