    Great experience so far!

Our new baby boa arrived as promised and looks to be in good, healthy condition. As it was my first snake to receive by FedEx, I had no idea what to expect! He was nice and secure in a tied fabric bag within a styrofoam lined box. The bag he was in was soiled and wet and the snake was limp.. which was worrisome until I took the time to read the package enclosure which explains that! By the time I made it home with him about an hour later, he was stirring a little in his bag. Once in his tank, he went into hiding for a brief time then became inquisitive and explored a good bit. We will let him acclimate for about a week, as recommended, so I can't comment on his temperament yet. SaS was great to work with and has answered every question I've asked in a timely manner by way of my account message center on their site. I would definitely recommend them!

The snake arrived the day after I ordered it. He seems perfectly healthy and is beautiful. On top of all of that every question I asked was answered within minutes. This has been the best experience I've had buying snakes online and when I buy another it will be through snakes at sunset

    Nicaraguan baby Boa purchase

Update status on my baby Nicaraguan Boa: I received -him- (I'm assuming males because that's what I asked for) delivered June 24, 2021. My little snake was pissed off and very nippy/strike ready out of the box. I want to report that he has calmed way way down, I have not been bitten once and he does not/has not tried to strike at me. I'm very happy that he feels much less threatened now. He ate his first (frozen) and then thawed out fuzzy white mouse today and this made me very happy and I feel much more solid about his health and happiness. Looks like we are on the rode to a happy future together. This snake didn't want to eat the pink little frozen baby mice I bought so I fed them to my 4 month old baby Tegu that I got from Snakes At Sunset and I love and enjoy him too. My Nicaraguan Boa is approx 18 inches and about the size of a average sized males index finger at the biggest part of his body for reference. That's it, Thanks to Snakes at Sunset for delivering me two healthy and happy reptiles.

    Baby Nicaraguan Boa purchase

My Nicaraguan Boa from Fedex pickup (Florida) to delivery (Dallas)was 17 hrs. It's definitely energized and fired-up. The snake is super pissed off, hissing and reared up striking but hopefully this snake will tame down. Removed the baby Boa from its shipping box in a darkish room and placed the snake into a small plastic tub with water and onto a heat pad to warm a lightly moist towel on the floor of tub. Going to give him or her time to settle in. Snakes in Sunset would not tell me or specify if male or female, though in notes a asked for a male.
