Miss attitude came in good shape, feed her that same day ate with no problems after picking her up she calms down squirms a bit while holding. Cute snake already hissing and striking every time I go near her enclosure or filling her water dish. Active, energetic snake explores, digging around very happy with my purchase. My 9 year old son bought this snake with his own money after I helped him research and choose what we hoped would be a great first pet for himself. I've never owned a reptile myself or really known many people with reptiles but since my husband has allergies to most mammals a reptile was one of our best options. We fell in love with the idea of a Western Hognose after seeing a picture on IG and doing some research about it. After a lot more research I settled on Snakes at Sunset as our place to purchase from. Living in central PA, we didn't have a lot of local options so short of driving several hours to a reptile expo or buying online I chose online. Anyhow, after placing the order we did have to wait a couple more days for the weather to become more temperate for shipping, I also had a little trouble getting a hold of someone at the store to ask what size of pinky/frequency the snake was currently eating (had to order those online too!), but overall what mattered to me was getting a healthy good-tempered snake. I asked the guy I talked to about feeding if he could also make sure to choose whichever snake he thought would be good for a little boy, if there was an option. I have no idea if he did or did not but the snake we received has been perfect! Super friendly, healthy, easy-going, a great eater (I was a little nervous about feeding issues since my son absolutely wanted a male and I read that could be an issue especially with the males), and is just a content, interesting little dude all around. We are so happy and grateful!

Bought a baby western hognose snake that just arrived yesterday. We just love him already. He was very well packaged and arrived when promised. He was fussy at first when he was unpackaged but calmed way down fairly quickly. Thank you Snakes At Sunset.

I absolutely love this little snake. Arrived on time and in great condition. I have had no issues and have had it for a few months now.

He arrived in great condition and was clearly well cared for. I did have some problems with him at first, but I don't blame Snakes At Sunset. For anyone curious: I trouble getting him to eat at first and have had to scent the pinkies with tuna and put him in a smaller container, but I suspect it was stress that caused this and that it'll be fairly easy to switch him over to unscented. He was also terrified of me for the first two weeks but considering he's a baby and that he had to be switched to a new enclosure two different times, I'm not surprised. I've since been able to get him used to being handled and he's mellowed out A LOT. He's super friendly now and doesn't mind being handled at all as long as there are no sudden movements. He's actually my first snake, so I'm happy to say he's been really relaxed and easy to care for since the hiccup with feeding was sorted. Also, he's ABSOLUTELY ADORABLE and I love him. Overall, I'm very happy with my new baby boy and would definitely buy from Snakes At Sunset again.

I was initially skeptical of buying a snake mail order, but Snakes At Sunset has made me a believer. Snake arrived as ordered in good condition. He was fed the next day with no problems. He appears to be more or less hand-tamed already. Looking forward to having him for many years.

My sweet baby arrived on time and in great condition. The tracking was accurate and updated often. Ferdinand just had his first feeding last night and ate like a champ!! He’s so sweet and curious. I would definitely shop here again!
